What snow? Despite the persistent cold it rained here last night and washed all the white stuff away.

Between 2 and 6 inches here

Ditto.

Going out with daughter and sledge once I've done a bit of work.

Might pop out on bike later but it's not gonna be easy going!

Ride tomorrow in the mud and rain. Today long dog walk instead. Still lots in herefordshire but it is all getting a bit grubby and slushy.

Aye, had about 4 inches on top of what was there from last week so should make for soft landings.

I'll be out with the kids on the sledges following a good dump of snow last night and clear skies today. Might venture out on the bike later, but suspect it will be hard going

Was out yesterday had heavy snow most of last night, now bright blue skies so it's melting.

Today I'm being dragged shopping so I can ride all next weekend and drink beer.

Yep, off to do some downhill at Macc Forest. Went up to the tracks yesterday afternoon to check them out and they looked perfect - let's hope the rain/snow hasn't changed that 😀

been out this morning, heavy snow, then rain last night, wet wet snow that has turned into slush mostly. you either spin or sink. found sticking to the compacted ice easier! hard ride loads more effort. short blast turned into a sweatathon!

Out in the Dales on a MX bike later for a bit of fun, bugger all this trying to pedal in foot of snow when I have something with an engine sat doing nothing

Hell yes! Sweep the jumps and it rides like summer. Until the ice melts from repeated runs and it goes a little slidy....

I'm not sure. I was hoping for more snow but it rained

so it will be slush and ice

I think I'll be on the road unless its my turn to excercise the dog

Went to the end of my street on my road bike then decided it wasn't worth it... rear tyre wheelspinning in the slush up the slightest of inclines and my front almost went from under me a few times. Might go back out on the mtb this afternoon.

Just been out and didn't go far. Bad start when I couldn't even get going on the footpath outside my front door 😯

Ended up just sticking to the roads and getting a few uphill sprints in.

There is still salt in grit because despite having a Crud on the front, I could bloody taste in on the water being thrown up off the front wheel 🙄

Brilliant sledging session but no way I'm trying to plough through that on my MTB. Especially with only a singlespeed working atm!

Rode The Wall at Afan, the snow is thawing but a few of the top sections were not rideable due to snow. Fun and games!

Did cannock monkey trail this morning. It was good fun, lots of drifting on the downhills. It was beautiful and so quiet too. One of the nicest rides I've had in a while. I had to stop earlier than I liked because my feet were wet through, lots of unavoidably big ice bath puddles. Couldn't find my winter boots this morning.

I went out earlier, it was hard going though, legs got a decent pump going through the thick stuff, about 3" came down last night on top of what was there. Front wheel was wiping out but good fun drifting corners. Was well and truly knackered when i got back, happy though.

Just got back from a marvellous winter ride of about 30kms with some great coffee in the middle. The temperature here in Germany is still way below zero so the snow is in great condition. A bit icy on some quiet road sections with one rather wince inducing off but overall great conditions. Sadly the temperature is on the up tomorrow and the snow will be replaced with rain so it looks like it is back to the turbo!

Slid my way over the moors to Hamsterley this morning- stupid driving conditions but worth going. Have never seen the car park so empty!
http://www.flickr.com/x/t/0091009/photos/92389883%40N05/8417517146/

6" inch of powder made the black run a leg aching challenge but worth it for a bum twitching run down "Pikes Teeth" and hilarious fire road climbs/ descents. Didnt get the full route in due to the drifts of snow being un rideable! Better than staying indoors anyway- especially when the missus had the fire roaring for my return!

Melting here but still haaarrdd work. The problem now is the snow melt as even with mudguards, you get wet and freeze.

Went out earlier. Slush, mud, snow, ice and rock were the main surfaces contended with. I had to work harder than I have in along time, but it was great. I actually managed to ride some quite techy stuff, so it was quite pleasing, if a little hairy at times!

Great fun round Langsett - nice run out to it, some slidey fun and some walking. Nice trundle up (as much as we could do without falling) then a road trip back to Lower Cumberworth

Went over Stanage, down to Hathersage then back through Blacka. Compared to last weekend which was ace riding in shite weather, this was shite riding in ace weather... Thick soft wet snow meant that climbing was mostly pushing and descending was pot luck point and hope. The Packhorse Trail was hilarious, and almost worth the PITA push/drag/slog to get up to it from Redmires.

Even with snow bikes we were defeated by 2-3 foot snow plus drifts today, bombed down tractor tracks from the farmers busy feeding livestock 🙂
still ace fun 🙂
