to show that not all mountain bikers are bad...

We could all join within an hours window, say. If we bring down their server it will be even more noticable 🙂

Is it appropriate for non-local riders to be involved ?

Non-local makes no difference. Hurtwood is for all to enjoy.

But to enjoy within the rules of the game!

that's virtually no-one then...

I assume all the London-Calling thread people that come down to the area must already be friends, and they don't use and/or appeciate the runs that they maintain.

It might be a minority of STW'ers, but there are a huge number of people who ride mountain bikes and are very pleased to enjoy the countryside as it is, and who appreciate what a fantastic thing it is to have such a great area so close to London.
