Currently riding a 27.5 plus bike and loving the traction and rolloverability (is that a new word?) - but missing the flickability of old fashioned 26 inch wheels.
If 27.5 std is the sweet spot between 26 and 29 - surely 26 plus has the same diameter with increased traction and un-damped cushioning??
So - 26 plus should be the most versatile plus size??
Thoughts?? Feel free to pull my thinking apart...
I’ve seen the same thought occurring elsewhere.
It amuses me a little especially given how many predicted the return of 26... admittedly a lot of 26” stuff would be too narrow to cope with plus, but adding Boost then it should all work ok! (Yep noted this means recycling at least two ‘standards’ at once...)

very interested in this. I was thinking about a 27.5 plus, and test rode a Tarn 20 back to back with my Soul 26. I found the lack of manoeuvrability and tram line effect with the Tarn quiet off putting. I'm sure I could get used to it right enough !
I tried it (on a Flare, Soul 26 and BFe 275), it's good but I prefer the misery and sketchiness of normal 26" wheels.
I am...not exclusively though, but I do have a 26+ bike.
Amazed you can tell the difference. World cup down hill has moved to 29..

'Converted' the Rocket 275 to 26+ a few months ago. Liking it on the whole, but finding it very dependent on tyre pressure. Only a window of 3 or 4 PSI between tyre roll hell, awesome grip, and Bambi on ice...
