Hi folks,
Looking to upgrade my short liners while the sales or on etc.
Any recommendations for the comfiest pad / liner short
Cheers
Oli
Troy Lee or Rapha get my vote.
Proper bibs, they stay in place. Castelli are my current go to.
On bibs here (just better all round) but Louis Garneau (available from evans normally on sale) have been good but there are 3 different levels of them.
Just got some Morvelo ones which are good too - so I reckon anything with a good shape and not the basic crap ones are probably decent these days so it comes down to personal pref/arse/bits shape
Bibs. Currently using various Endura, Galibier and Craft.
Castelli bibs with Kiss Air 2 pad or Rivelo Bibs
My morvelo covert bibs are way better than the endura undershorts I also have. So comfy.
there's usually an element of personal preference because people are different shapes as well as how the pad fits with your preferred saddle
Lusso are good and you're supporting british manufacturing
In terms of value for money I don't think you can touch the Zipvit bibs

The Carbon Bib Shorts are very nice.
I almost never wear bibs for MTB, liner shorts are totally fine and forego the need for the comedy "stoop and scoop", IYKWIM.
I've got very good ones from Scott, One Industries and Polaris - but tend to take a punt when there are discounts to be had. Don't get the cheapest ones in any range though, they tend to be a bit thick and nappy-like.

You can get ones with a lower front, forego's the need for the stop and scoop moment too.
Endura padded shorts for me.
I look like mick mcmanus in bibs.!
I was getting ready to write about how much better my penthouse is than everyone else's...
Quite like my Madison ones. Better than the Endura ones, but not tried many of the options above
Another bib averse here. I find the Decathlon more expensive liners excellent ( still only £20) The pads also seem to last. I have had various shorts that were really comfy for a few months but rapidly lost any squish or support and had to be replaced
I love Giordana personally. Bibs or shorts depending on what the weather is like (thermal bibs in winter, shorts otherwise).
