I do... But due to my friend overtaking me on the road the other day, and so bringing out my ever present competitive streak, i went over the bars at about 20mph... So no riding for me due to a) the fact my helmet is now ****ed, and i dont have a spare one, and b) my body hitting the floor at said speed isnt good for it... So why arent you all riding?

Both Roper and I have had flu so no riding for me. Woke up after a hideous night with aches and all 🙁 This was probably my last chance to go riding in Spain as what with one thing and another I may well not get a chance to ride before leaving.

Simon, that sounds horrible, knowing you may not get to ride there again. I'm just going mad as i have nothing else to do... I guess it shows how much i rely on my cycling to keep me busy/ happy/ poor. Oh well, i may trya road ride tomorow what with it being the weekend, if i can sort out helmet in time.

Third week into broken ribs, had a reasonable ride yesterday but it's a bit early yet. That said I'll be out again Monday and taking it well easy.

Sat in with my knee in a strap watching the footie at the moment. Start physio on Tuesday and then an MRI scan on Wednesday. Then hopefully I can find out whether I need keyhole surgery on my knee. No riding for me this summer it would seem unles the NHS can book me in sooner rather than later.

Yeah - kind of sucks as we had some rides lined up including the Ronda - Marbella descent and the third attempt at finding an old monastery in Montes de los Barrios. On Tuesday I have some moles cut off my back so I may not be able to ride next weekend, then my folks are here for my Mum's birthday, then the following weekend I may be back in the UK both on business and also doing some moving over the weekend. Then the following weekend I am asssuming I have no bike and gear as everything will be on it's way back home.

But it's not all bad as I am not working in June so will be able to catch up on my riding while i stay with my folks in Dumfries and a mate in Wales. 😀

I really can't complain to be honest.

Hang on; Simonralli and Roper have 'flu?

They live in Spain/Gib, right? Where most people speak Spainish?

As they also do in Mexico??

And Ralli is planning to move back to the UK????

PANIC!!!! Run away, run away! 😯

Had a lovely ride in Epping Forest earlier. First proper bike ride following a big crash a few weeks ago. Brilliant. So nice to be back!

I hurt my spine riding home from lectures. My friends rode Laggan yesterday, riding Golspie today and Learnie tomorrow on a trip that I organised. Also got a huge amount of work to do. Got a brand new bike, helmet and custom Oakley Radars sat in my room (turned 21 on Wed), taunting me untily my spine gets better and my exams are over. One day.

Working - nearest I got to an mtb was someone who'd fallen off their bike on the A68 but didn't even make it to that in the end.

Off tomorrow and will be out rain or shine

Just got back from fantastic 4 hour ride above Todmorden, Hebden etc etc. Sadly, my legs say no more for today. And it has been an expensive ride!! On here posting in case the bikers we passed, who almost certainly found and picked up my Oakleys, read this forum and decide to return them. You never know your luck do you?
Details in forum in case you know anyone riding on the Lancashire Yorkshire border today!

after an excellent long ride on Friday (holiday here) followed by a longer recovery food and beer/spirit session, then falling off said bike and bruising hip several times, loosing camera along the way (need larger back pack) and keeping the misses awake with me talking to god down the big white telephone. I've decided it's better for my own health to stay in and keep the wife company... (till next weekends ride)

The delay in posting in this thread was I was inspired so I went out for a spin on my SS crosser (with 42 x 16). What a ride! I was buzzing charging up hills and flying along the flat. The crosser handled most hills even steep ones with a little 'out of the saddle work'.

I love single speed 🙂
