I use a road mech on my DH bike but a rock/bike collision at Antur Stiniog the other week trashed my old 105 mech and the gear hanger in one go.
I ordered a new Sora one from crc as it was dirt cheap but the supposed short cage Sora mech measures 70mm between the jockey wheel centres as opposed to the 49mm gap on the short cage 105.The box is clearly marked ss for the short cage mech it just looks a bit long.
Is this right or have I got a mech thats been boxed up wrong?

sora now goes up to 30T (used to be 27 i think) maybe they made the cage longer.
