And perhaps with a family? We are taking both our 9 and 11 year old boys and bikes. Hope to do some biking with the family and maybe without kids/ with guide as well.

We have been to Champery before, but we take it easy as it is a holiday. We also enjoy walks in the mountains.

Anyone else out there at all next week? Anyone fancies meeting up for a ride, with or without kids?

Hi mike,

14th or 16th would be great. Both me and my hubby have a 160 bike, so nothing too extreme, more am using lifts as we don't like too many ups. Probably would be one of us,as the other will look after the kids.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

As perhaps you know your way around, any tips on where to take the kids? They have kiddy dh/freeride bikes, but especially my little one has not got the skills. Pre la joux? We can drive from morzine if needed.

Cheers Simone

I know Les Gets better than Morzine, but seeing as how they run into each other...

Check to see if Les Gets has the kids shore this year.

Was in the village a couple of years ago. Simple but fun. Possibly too simple for 9 & 11 of course.

Also the green route from the Chavannes Express in Les Gets is family friend (though also one of my favourites as it winds down through the trees in a very chilled manner).

From the Pleney lift down to Les Gets on the blue is straight forward enough most of the way - certainly if taken slowly. Then take the Chavannes express and back to the top of Pleney (couple of short pushes I suspect - 50 yards or so). Then depending on how they feel lift, blue or green down to Morzine - blue should be Ok if taken slowly.
