Taking my bike to Spain next week. Should I insure for loss or damage if flying with Easyjet? Bike will be packed in a Canyon cardboard box, used to dispatch their bikes, so will be well wrapped.

Mikewsmith, does your home insurance cover the bike whilst in transit?

Always. £60 travel insurance (of which part is medical/cancellation/baggage anyway) is a small price to pay compared to £2500 of mangled carbon should the worst happen.

yep but it's Australian, had a few in the UK who did. Peace of mind mostly, the box may be great but freight is packed better than hold luggage. From the evoc experience make sure nothing can move in there - thats what makes them good bags.

Check either your home insurance or travel insurance. I've never bought specific transit insurance

Yep - world wide insurance for my bike as part of house insurance.

Anyone used Yellow Jersey Cycle Insurance? Very extensive single trip insurance for £50.00. Sounds reasonable.
