Crackin couple of descents of whiteless and back over via sail beck as the normal route. But are there any better routes back other than Sail beck as it tends to be very overgrown with bracken in spring/summer.
What is Gasagale like as a climb, then there are two pretty good routes to choose from either mine or upto Grizedale and off.

Does anybody know if Hobcarton End is still a mess a lower down with the felling operations?

Cheers

Gasgales ok, usual hiking/pushing craic. Limited options otherwise without serious hike-a-bike. Newlands pass to knott rigg might be worth a look...

Hobcarton woody bits a mess, you'll have to pick your way through the machine tracks - hard work.
