This chain lube comes highly recommended both here and on Amazon, but I'm finding it a royal pain to use. I shake it well but as soon as I start to apply, the tip clogs and I have to shake again.

Any tips?

I've never used it, but do you keep it in a shed/garage? Maybe try keeping it in the house, see if it keeps it a little less viscous?

Just a thought.

^^ Yeah, is it possible it needs to be kept fairly warm before use as nobeer alludes to?

I've used it (and like it) but only as a summer lube - this time of year I'd switch to something with a bit more wet weather resistance. It's not as bad as RnR Extreme for clogging in the cold but that could be a part of it.

Try Epic Ride instead.....I find it great for all conditions and it doesn't clog, even though stored in a cold garage.

Get exactly the same with mine, just open the hole a little bit.

Eh? I've been using RnR for what must be about 5 or 6 years now, never had that.

I used to use the White Lightning stuff, then went to RnR blue (much better) and now W&S no. 3 (better again). Wholly subjective depending on the ground conditions upon which you ride though.

I found that RnR blue would solidify in the bottle when it got cold - keeping it in the house helped but lubing a cold chain on a cold day could still make the nozzle clog up. Once on the chain it was good stuff.

Used white lightning but found the wax really built up on the jockey wheels, after several different try out settled on the W&S no3 which is amazing and really does clean y=the chain! Peatys has bought them out now so just restocked with their lube. Fingers crossed it is a good.

Personally I use wet ride all year.
It’s easy to apply and also easy to remove. I don’t fully understand the concept of wax lube, I like to see oil! Perhaps I need educating as to the benefits.

Never used Clean Ride but I use White Lightening Epic a lot and find it excellent all year round but have just bought a bulk of RnR Gold so will be using that for the foreseeable. I keep it in the house FWIW.
