I appreciate this might be a bit niche...
Anyone got one of these hubs? Mine's the ENO eccentric disc version but I doubt that makes any odds.
Bearing replacement is a pretty easy job but I realised when doing it that my hub felt as thought there was far too much preload on the bearings.
I followed the instructions, which cover the existence of 1-4 thin spacers which adjust for slack in the hub/axle. Mine has 2.
I though there was too much preload applied on the old bearings and the same on the new. Generating a tight and kind of notched feel.
Anyone found the same? Any issues with removing 1 or 2 spacers? I've removed both for now and the bearings do feel better for it. Still no play I have noticed.
The hub is about 7 years old now. It doesn't get much use although it's done plenty of miles over the years not to think these bearings have gone prematurely.
