Hey All,
Hitting whistler & Pemberton, just wondering if anyone knows anything good around for non bikers / injured riders to do while we’re on the trails? Feel bad going off for all the fun and not trying to organise something good for them.
Cheers All
How old are your kids? When in Pemberton I took my nephews (18 month old twins) to the library and play park. The Library was great, there was a story time ready by a wonderful librarian who read us Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus and taught us the Canadian tune to The Wheels on the Bus. Good times. There's plenty of family friendly walking there too.
The riding in Pemberton was ace.
Whistler is bigger, should be easier to find stuff to do there.
Lots of other outdoor activities and nice lake parks in Whistler for non riders but being injured in Whistler sucks. Mine was “just” a collarbone so I still managed to walk and enjoy the good weather. A trip up the Peak 2 Peak gondola was good as well.
Only visited Pemberton for day rides, but didn’t look too much to do for adult non riders.
There's a brewery in Pemberton!
One Mile Lake is good for swimming.
Joffre Lakes are spectacular but easy hike (very busy and about 30 minutes drive north of town).
I'd imagine there's horse riding in the area as well (lots of ranches) and there's gliding & parascending.
Can your injured buddies play shuttle bitch for you? 😉
Other than that, Whistler will have more to offer...
