Can't find my receipt and I would like to order some bearings for my pivot, can anybody tell me if the bike is 2006 or earlier, or strictly beyond 2006? See picture.

thanks.

Pre 2006, the later ones had a swoopier swingarm.

Edit: like this:

Mine's a 2006 and it had the swoopier TT. Strangely I had the same colour paint as yours and it all fell off! After the first ride I had silver calves ad in no time the seat stay was bare. I had it resprayed in black and tbh it looks much nicer than the grey ever did.

Swoopier swingarm on the later one, not top tube.

the first two digits of the number stamped on the bottom of the bottom bracket are the year of manufacture.

njee you are right of course but tbh the tt on mine seems swoopier too. Mine is an XL so that may have something to do with it. Otherwise, I need to go and lie down.. it has been a long week. 🙂

Indeed, amount of swoop was directly proportional to size!

On the Blur the small and medium had a straight tube, twas only the large that was kinked.

Gilles - are you changing the bearings becuase they need changing or just because you now have a garage in which to fettle?

Paul, they need changing as there is a play and there is a very annoying noise each time the bike bounces. And yes, I got now a garage for doing it! I'm spoilt.

How's the training?

Hey Gilles,

Paid you for Mayhem today, thanks for sorting it out. I was out riding last night so i'm now so fit that i reckon we can push for a podium spot... 😉

Isn't it time you treated yourself to a shiny new bike. That one keeps getting us lost in Wales.
