Just put a pretty nasty dent in my rear rim, its a stans arch mk3 on a pro4 hub. Its still usable but its got a fair wobble up and down and side to side which the lbs says isnt really fixable and the rims just too bent.
Not sure whether to get a new rim and have it laced onto my current hub, or just buy a whole new wheel and keep the dented one as a spare?
Probably looking at another stans wheel/rim but open to recommendations? I see superstar have the flow ex3 rims and an offer on on wheels at the mo. Any experience of the v6 hubs?
Depends what state your hubs in but a Pro 4 is generally well worth rebuilding, I'd certainly keep that Vs the Stans hubs anyway.
I too would second keeping the hope of you can.
That said, I was getting one of ours rebuilt and then found the dafty cheap DT Swiss rear wheel from CRC, £60 iirc.
Rebuild but with a dt swiss rim of your choice.
Whats the DT swiss equivalent of the arch or flows? Superstar have 35% off so I could get a good price om a flow mk3 or ex3 rim. How are the DT swiss rims better are they less susceptible to denting?
