Not keen on laddo relying on just a sticky pad to mount 300 quids worth of camera to his lid, I'd suggest you wouldn't even know it was gone till too late. Is there anything generic out there that possibly mechanically fixes also?
The sticky pads are surprisingly secure but Heat the sticky portion with a lighter and apply to the visor while still hot and it's not going anywhere.
Couple of cable ties around the mount through a hole in the helmet (if there's any close enough) is a good one that I've done before
I use a GoPro stick on mount for an exposure light, I’ve knocked the light out of the holder a couple of times catching branches but the stick on bit is going nowhere. I think you will break parts before that adhesive let’s go and for when that does happen use a tether as a backup
Not had a problem with the sticky mounts. Smashed a few helmets between us but the mounts have always stayed intact. Some of the Giro helmets have mounts built into them
Halfords do a bikehut gopro helmet mount for their bike lights for a fiver if you want something secure but removable.
Never thought of a tether, nice one! Will use a standard sticky mount then back up with a tether through any of the nearby holes.
a whole 7mm lower than a sticky mount under the visor?
TAKE MY MONEY NAO!
I used Sugru on a couple of lids to make mounts:

I found the side mount was actually a better location and gave better perspective as does the chest mount.
The Hero 7 also means no Gimbal so its even better on the chest.
A Guy I ride with some times shot this the other day with a helmet mount.
