I'm going to #givetubelessachance again as I need to fix a puncture so seems like a good time to try (again...).

My bottle of Stan's has been open a while and had very little used out of it - what's the 'open' shelf life of this stuff?

Didn't have great results with it last time so thinking I might try something else.

Anyone used either the Uberbike Tyre Matrix or Schwalbe Dr Blue?

Thanks

Ive always used what ever the cheapest/whats on sale that i can find

So far Ive used

Stans no tubes
Decathlon's B'twin sealant
Specialized airlock
Hutchinson protect air max
Barbieri Anti-puncture Sealant

All have done their job when needed, and lasted around 6 months before needing to be topped up/changed

Never had any problems airing up and getting the tyre to seal using them

Thanks for the reply.
I think my last attempt didn't go very well due to tyre/rim combo and crap tape.
Tyres were ridiculously tight on the rims and bead wouldn't seat properly against the rim.

Trick with tubeless is to make sure everything is taped nice an smooth & covering the whole rim bed but not butted up against the rim sidewall, fit the tyres with tubes in them to pop the beads on to the rim then remove the tube making sure one bead stays nice and tight on the rim

refit the other bead and leave a small gap to pour in your sealant, then fit the rest of the bead, this is where a good set of tyre levers are needed (Pedros)

Normally i can air up using a good track pump (topeak joe blow pump)

If the pump wont air up the tyre then a Co2 canister does the job

Ive done all kinds or rim/tyre combos this way inc 3in plus tyres, 4in fat bike tyres, even ghetto tubeless my son's pushchair wheels 8)

I use the joes eco (blue coloured) wiggle/crc and it’s been great , avoid the uhu white stuff as it’s rubbish.
120ml was on offer for £2.75-3 , enough for 1 or 2 tyres
