Need some tubless valves for some 35mm 29er rims (if it makes a difference).
What fits best?
(Stans and SS seem to be the best options for availability but unsure on length etc)
(crap, should be in the bike section)
They need to be reasonably long, I'm using 46mm WTB ones which are pretty much ideal for my 26er rims. Stans 44mm are fine too.
DT Swiss ones are really good, they have a slightly bigger rubber bung as the end, and an o-ring on the outer side to provide a seal on the outer of rim also.
The also come with a handy-for-the-camelbak mini core remover.
I had to use ss long ones on 28 mm rims. The shorter valve did not reach through. They seem perfectly fit for purpose
Double post
NW: I thought they would have to be long, stans are kinf od the go-to. SS unhelpfully don't seem to give lenghts. edit: cheers for the SS info kilo
Spotted the DT ones on CRC so will take another look at them too.
The Superstar "XL" alu valve is actually the same as my wtb one I think, but they only have the red ones.
An option is to just cut valves out of an old inner tube and ghetto it. Have done this successfully and the tubes I had also had removable core and long valves which is even more handy.
yeah the SS ones do look like the WTB. Red puts them firmly out unfortunately and the SS site is annoying me so looking around takes ages.
Did think about cutting up some tubes but don't have any with removable presta cores.
