I'm leaning towards a Slackline for general trail riding, playing in the woods and the odd 100mile epic or multi-day ride. I have had a quick do on a slackline and it felt like a nice replacement for my old 26" Cotic Soul - I tried a Solaris max and the thing felt like a barge. So I think a Slackline is what I need. Am I right? (i'm on a small frame so big slack bikes feel a bit weird to me)
If it’s mainly for messing about I’d go with the Slackline. If longer, less technical rides are going to be more common I’d go Sherpa. I’ve not ridden either, but have had a play on a Solaris Max and own a current gen Soul. I prefer the Soul for what I do (pissing about for a few hours in the woods and Peak District with occasional bike park visits and longer rides).
I've got a Sherpa, I'd say yeah probably you're on the right lines. It's a nice bike but I think if you're a bit more focused on technical trails then go Slackline.
The video for the Sherpa Mk3 was just released today on Stantons YouTube page. Will be worth a look for you.
From what you write, I’d say the Slackline is the bike that Stanton would recommend to you.
