I need a new mech and have just recently gone over to riding 32 single ring on the front and 11-34 rear on a SC BLT2.
Would a GS short gage like this ONE be suitable or would the short gage saint be better?
Opinions please?
My opinion is that you will probably want to swap the front ring quickly for a 34 or 36. Regarding a new mech, short is good, have a look at new XTR with the clutch - I've heard they are so good you don't need a chain device!
My hardtail has a Renthal 36 on the front and XT 34 - 11 on the back using a Superstar XC single. Works a treat but I'm hoping to get a mech as above.
Have fun.
