Hi, looking at getting a power meter to help focus my training so thought I'd ask for people's experiences and advice. Use multiple mtb's for road and off road with both disc / V brakes. So would have to cope with multiple bikes and brake sets ups. Current thoughts are Powertab MTB hub, V brake rim and a head unit - maybe Cycleops Joule or Garmin 705 / 800. Any thoughts?

I'd wait until the newer devices incorporated into the pedal are released, garmin are going to be big players.

I have the Cycleops Joule and a Garmin 800.

The 800 is fine but it doesn't display IF and TSS metrics which you really need to get the most from power training as you manage your ride. Hopefully it'll get added to the 800 in the future.

The Joule does display IF and TSS but lacks the navigation of the 800, so I end up using both.
