Right, itching to replace my DH bike, just no fun, got onto the idea that an entourage or tr250 is what i need.
Found an entourage local, gent was very, very kind in letting me have a ride. Bike is a hoot, i want one.
My options are, which would you buy?
a) Local bike i tried, £1200, base model entourage with new Van RC2 forks, pretty good condition. Would put on zee group from DH bike, de valuing it a bit, reckon i'd get 1300 for it, maybe leaving me around £100 up.
b) buy a brand new deluxe from CRC for 2k, get about 1600 for DH bike, down £400.
c) buy a 2nd hand deluxe i've seen, so zee group, lyriks, vivid air for £1250, again selling DH bike for around £1500 leaving me around £250 up, but a bit of a car journey.
I looked into buying an entourage & found out that the first gen 2012 models were more likely to crack.
I believe the later models have a beefed up downtube.
If option 1 wasn't my buddy's bike, I'd say option 3, but it is so option 1. Especially as the forks cost over half what you'd be paying!
They are a hoot though, aren't they...
