Looking for a new brake set, which out of the current crop offers the best power to weight.

Like the look of the Hope Tech V2 but look a little heavy compared to Avid Ultimate etc etc.

What would you suggest ?

Thanks
Rich

Very impressed with my new Elixir CRs. The extra power takes a bit of getting used to though 🙂

All good advice keep it coming. How much more power does the Elixir give over the Juicys ?

Cheers

I haven't used juicys much (just a quick blast on a friends bike) but reviews would suggest a bit more power and definitely more modulation.

No complaints with either here - they compare favourably with the Oro 18s on my HT and wipe the floor with my old Mono Minis! No squealing or judder yet either.

Shimano.

I hate Avids, the fronts are good but I've found the rears have been shocking. I've had Ultimate 7's and Elixar. Maybe with some braided hoses would make it better.
