Evening all.
A little while ago I thought i'd jump on the wide low bar band wagon. Bought a nice pair if Azonic Double Wall bars, 760mm wide, 25mm rise.
Roll on a few months and i'm finding that while i'm enjoying the width, my neck is killing me as I think the front end is a touch low, so i'm going to try some higher rise bars.
So far i'm considering the Nukeproof Warhead bars in 50mm rise (£35) and the Answer Pro Taper 720 AM bars (also £35).
I seem to remember back in the day that Pro-Tapers were the danglies.
Anyone got any recommendations, reviews, alternatives.
My wants are:
720mm or wider
50mm rise
Somewhere around £35
Nukeproof don't do a 50mm rise bar.
my sunline V1's are good
I've got a Nukeproof Warhead bar and I'm really happy with it. It's light, cheap and stiff!
I've also got a Funn Fatboy on my XC bike, TBH I prefer the shape compared with the Nukeproof, but it's splitting hairs really. I haven't tried the new generation of Answer bars, although I used to have an xc sized Pro-Taper bar a couple of years back.
Can I ask what the warranty is like on the nukeproof bars? A friend managed to bend a pair in Morzine last week.
kore torsion trail race 740mm 36 quid. Made of 2014 which is a top quality alloy for handlebars.
I wouldn't know, mine are 18 months old and I haven't needed to test the warranty dept yet.
Brant, indeed you are right. 38mm, so not really a jump up from where I am at the minute, shame as they look nice.
I'll check out the Kore and Sunlines.
