For doing Manchester to Blackpool? 26"

Anyone any good experiences?

I was running schwalbe kojaks on my inbred commuter, 26x1.5
Really fast tyres. 3 years use and not one puncture to.

Cheap as chips, and apparently impossible to puncture

Conti GP 26"... 1" are faaaaast

Or Conti Sport Contact 1.3 are cheaper + robust, but heavy.

Used both, both excellent.

Kojaks here too. They're proper 26 inch road tyres, with just enough puncture protection- light and fast. They used to be pretty expensive but still worth every penny, now they're cheaper.

Are Kojak 1.35 too narrow?
