Solarstorm is good call. The x2 is a great compact unit. There is one with 3 leds that is supposed to be pretty good too. Hard to beat for the money.

Solarstorm x2 off ebay or amazon (or china if you can wait) for around £25 are very cheap and not a bad light at all (I have one!), but once you factor in replacing the battery and maybe the charger, it might be just as easy to buy one of Torchy's (big_f_d_d IIRC) BK2200 2x XM-L U2 2200 (£89) off ebay (like the Yinding unit?)

Torchy the battery boy (big_f_d_d) sells batteries (£35) on ebay that have a good reputation to replace the normally std (crappy) one & get a charger from Magicshine UK (£10) for the SSX2. £10 price difference or there abouts.. I'd just be tempted to go to torchy and save the run around.
