The OE bearings are knackered which doesn't surprise me as they looked very low rent with no brand or any specs printed.
I have one of those unused https://www.wiggle.co.uk/brand-x-headset-44-56iits-sealed/?sku=470483
The bearings out of the above seem very high quality by contrast and seem to fit in the cups nicely.
Does anyone know if I can just swap them ? I am not sure about contact angles as I have heard of 36 or 45 deg.
