I have a choice !

My own, which is a Bird Zero TR, 1x11 XT/SLX , dropper, 130mm Yari, Minion 2.3/ Ardent 2.4,

Or my son’s, which an almost brand new (he got it a few months ago but isn’t riding now..15 yrs old....footie, girls....) Cube Ltd Race, 2x11 XT group, fixed post, 100mm Recon, Tough Tom 2.25/ Rapid Rob 2.25.....

My thinking is that the Cube, which is much more traditional geometry and a bit lighter will probably lend itself better to this purpose, whilst also fulfilling an N+1.... I will also probably use it when coaching, which I do sat morns, otherwise it will sat unused and I don’t fancy dropping a chunk selling it when it’s only 4 rides old..

Thoughts ?

Agree, ride his bike to get some use out of it. Maybe he’ll get jealous and want it back

^^^^^ indeed 😀 Found the OEM tyres to be wired when I took them off so am popping a Racing Ralph on the back and have ordered a Rocket Ron for the front. Wheels currently inside warming up before Stans taping this evening or tomorrow evening.
