Anyone got any recommendations? I like my grips to have a little bit of sponginess as I sometimes get grief from the (median?)nerve - in the pad under the thumb - but I don't want balloon grips. The current ones are hard and offer little grip when damp.

Ritchey foam grips are ace.
Comfy, light, grippy when wet, simple and cheap.

Cheers for reminding me, I need to order some. 🙂

I'm a big convert to SuperStar foam grips. Much like the Richey ones but cheaper, I find them really comfortable and seem to absorb a bit of buzz too.

ESI racer's edge for me. Bit fragile but ace. Superstar ones look teh same but feel really different.

+1 for ritchey foam, if they do slip a small dab of superglue at each end, then wipe with acetone to get them off again.

They do 2, a normal symetrical one and a ergonmic one with the padding slightly offset, both feel equaly good to me but I don't have nay hand problems.

I find Rogue's spongy. Hence my recommendation. Wouldn't want you to be "FFS"ing for no reason MSP.....

The Ritchey foam grips are brilliant, always been my favourite grips. I tried ESI chunky for a while but couldn't get on with them and they suck when wet imo, I currently use KCNC Eva which are stupid light but nowhere near as comfy as the Ritchey grips.

ODI Xtrainers, the pattern has just the right amount of give.

Rouges have a tiny amount of give in them, no one in their right mind would call them spongy, plus they are a big grip. I like them and have them on 3 bikes, but they clearly don't match the ops requirements.

I wouldn't want to be stupidly suggesting what I like even when they are clearly not what was asked for.

Ah, only on STW can someone lose a sense of proportion about grips... 😉

Bad day, MSP? It's almost over at least...

Besides, they're Rogues 😆

It's not the grips, it's the bad advice.
