1. regreasing a specialized command post?
2. adding to threads when installing a bottom bracket / building up a frame?

Would you suggest a grease gun?

Copperslip for both, as long as the post isn't carbon!

Whatever they ask for, or something equivalent. You might be OK with standard grease, but then you might not- my posts recommend slick honey or judy butter, both wet and very low friction, I daresay a stickier grease might not work.

If you are trying to put grease into a grease nipple - yes, you need a grease gun.

If not - then no.

If sambuka means on the command post seals/internals then no way copperslip.

I use Slick Honey on my droppers and copperslip for BB threads

Oh aye, the other question- grease gun like freeagent is really for forcing grease into a nipple. But it can still be a handy way of handling grease for other jobs, the little ones they sell for "bike specific" grease can be handy. I prefer to squish it in with a finger but it's messy
