Im just thinking about it at the moment, if something perfect crops up ill probably be tempted

Its a 140mm pike, none boost, nx/gx gearset.650b Raceface turbine r wheelset (30mm)

Im wondering if i can get away with just buying a new frame and end up with something a bit more gnarr, maybe with a lower bottom bracket height

Its not all about the descent though for me, i like something to eat up a lot of miles/ climb well. Also clearance for 2.6 tyres would be required (which fit at the moment)

I'm interested too... my fs pro has terminal wear in the lhs seat stay pivot bearing recess...

It's got some great components, pikes just serviced and a new CCDBIL coil shock. Just needs a new frame!

Airdrop edit is non boost - just get a 150/160mm airshaft for your Pike to match the rear 160mm travel.

I had the pro fs before yours with the revelation fork and it was the frame I was considering. In the end I sold my bike as a wholeand bought an Aeris 145 as a whole bike (frame no good to you as boost rear).

The Airdrop is certainly a big step forward compared to the Pro FS - and looks lovely in a raw finish.

Surely you can get boost adapters for the rear wheel. Don't know about the cranks though.

An older Aeris 1 or 1.5 is non-boost. Love mine.

If you could get a boost adapter for your back wheel it’s really easy to re-dish a wheel. I’ve taught myself how to build a wheelset recently and re-dishing is far easy then vertically or laterally truing a wheel.

I preferred the ride of the Aeris 145 to the Airdrop edit but other people will be the other way round.

The edit was a beast at absorbing huge boulders on the way down and ok cranking back up. I’d say the Aeris is a little more lively / poppy, but harder to manual as it’s longer - but climbs better.

I wouldnt be worried about dishing my wheels however im not sure the adapter would work on my raceface turbine r? The boostinator doesnt list my wheels and also says you cannot convert asymetric wheels

Maybe check bike-discount.de for frames.

Bought an Stereo 150 HPA 27.5+ frame there (20" frame size, 2017 model) end of last year (around 370 Euros) and use this bike with 2x10 Deore, 35 mm rims and 2.6 inch rubber and these FOX 34 Rhythm forks. All bought in winter sale - complete bike ended up a bit under 1.5 k. The bike is an blast.

No idea which frames bike-discount still has - normally they have plenty ... (but not many "PLUS" frames I guess).

Good luck!
