Am after one of the above. Budget is anything up to a grand for a new one, probably half that for second hand. Anyone point me to a good deal or recommend a decent bike within my price range? Cheers.
I'd give On-One/Planet X a look.
Merida Speeder T5 is very good.
Boardman are quite nice looking!

I've got a Boardman Hybrid- built up from a frame but they do some really nice builds. Don't really have a bad word to say, the frame isn't the lightest but it's not terrible. Mudguard clearance for up to a 35c tyre too.
I seem to have wasted the day googling this for my own research
To me a flat bar road bike wouldn't have disc brakes. Which eliminates things like the Sirrus. But its your choice not mine
I think the Pinnacle neon (from Evans)looks good although its still a bit hybrid (32mm tyres). But looks like it would suite me. Lovely long top tube on the largest size, same(ish) length as my Trek Fuel. I assume that this is JamesO s influence.
The other option is the Cannondale quick which seems to really be a flat bar road bike
Some of the options on Planet X look awful as they are a flat bar on a road geometry frame. Great for seeing the view and the wind square in your chest....
