[Closed] which drop bar levers to work with cable disc?

fancying a drop bar set up on my disc trucker, so looking for some cheap levers or even sti units that work with cable discs.

any idea's greatly welcomed.

If they are road BB7s then any STI unit should work. I've used 105 and Ultegra

If mtb disc brakes then Tektro RL520 will do the job nicely.

think they are mountain bb7 does it make a differance

It does make a difference Ton - designed for different cable pulls. They will need a lever designed for V-brakes such as the Tektro RL520.

If you want to run stis then you'll need road cable brakes.

them tecktro ones look ideal......price suits my tight wallet.

nexy question, gripshift mounted on the barends? cables would look no worse than barend shifters.

Think you may struggle with bar diameter. Pretty sure mtb bars have a narrower diameter at the end than road bars.

I use them on my mtb. It allows the use of mtb levers.

They are a shallow drop, but you don't want a deep drop on mtbs - the idea is to have your hands at the same height as usual.

Comfortable for 120 mile rides in a day.

Not mine. I quite liked when I saw it at Bristol apart from the twist shift thing.
