Hi guys, bit of problem here as im trying to sort my rig build and i have a dillema what sort of crankset to buy.I have a Lapierre 727 DH Team Gravity Republic frame and it currently has shimano SM-BB71-41A installed, its apparently known as BB92 and diameter for crank spindle on this is 26mm.Now the confusing part, frame has a 109mm in width of BB so my logic says its for 109mm spindles with 26mm diameter, right?
I dont want to go for saint setup, was thinking more truvativ descendant and i got occasion to buy Truvativ DH 1.1 165mm crank lenght on BB30,but spindle is 15mm shorter then bracket so it wont fit.Can i just buy a spindle from truvativ? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks

Something wrong there, Shimano BB92 is for 24mm standard shimano axle (that's what's in my Remedy). You can get different sizes for a 41mm press fit BB, frinstance I've had a Raceface 30mm in that bike, but that part number is for a 24mm

I believe 107mm BB shell + BB92 takes an 83mm crank. (because confusingly, the crank width, 73mm or 83mm or whatever, doesn't include the BB cups which on a traditional external BB, adds on about an inch). But you'd want to double check that.

If so, stick a saint 83mm in it.

Ancient xtr but mine is a standard BB92 so it's narrower than yours. I've got a Saint in the dh bike though and can't see past it, they're ace
