So after posting on various threads that my Next SL cranks have been great they have now developed play between the alloy fitting that the chainring cinches to and the carbon arm, a common fault and I'm going to try and get them warrantied even though they are 3 1/2 years old. A bit of google foo leads me to believe that I won't get an answer regarding this claim any time soon so its going to leave me without a crank.
I think I've decided on Sram XX1 Eagle as a replacemnet but I havent got a clue which one will fit. Bike is an Orbea Occam TR with a 30mm BB which is 92mm wide and rear has 148mm Boost spacing running 11 speed XTR drivetrain. I understand I can move the chainline about using offest chainrings but nowhere does it say anything about axle length even though it mentions boost fitting. Am I right to assume that a boost frame always has a wider BB shell?. Q factor of current crank is 168mm.
Will these fit?

Thanks in advance.

No, the only bit that is boost on a frame is the rear axle spacing. For the crank, just choose something that takes a direct mount ring and you can get one with the required 3mm offset
Ok...but, I've got some Sram S2000 cranks on another bike but when I tried them on the Orbea the axle isnt long enough to screw on the other arm. How can I tell what length axle I'm getting with the cranks?.
I'm guessing you need a crank for bb92 not bb30 standard. It's a bit of a minefield
I'm using non-Boost XT cranks on my Occam AM and they work just fine, but you'd also need the correct (24mm) BB.
the cranks in the link are BB30. They won't fit, as your frame is not BB30, it is BB92.
You need a standard width chainset = XT, RF cinch, Sram, whatever, and a matching BB92 pressfit BB. Just not BB30.
As said, boost is nothing to do with this. It is the rear axle width (148mm). You might fit a boost ring (6mm offset) but that's as far as it goes and indeed many boost frames will take a non-boost ring (3mm) and be better for it in terms of chainline.
Ok. I think i've got it. Looks like I'll have to swap out the hope bottom bracket thats fitted and go for a gxp one if I want xx1 cranks. Thanks Folks
Note if the Sram cranks you buy are the older GXP or the newer DUB, as that will determine the BB you need.
Yeh, I'd got that. Just been in the man cave measuring the various BB's i've got and I see where I was going wrong. The Sram cranks would fit if i'd taken the great big bloody spacer off the drive side..Doh!!. Think I'm going with a Praxis GXP pressfit BB and the Sram XX1 Eagle Cranks. If they do warranty the Next SL's I'll probably sell the replacements on. Thanks for your help.
If the SRAM cranks are GXP, then you don’t need to replace the Hope BB if you don’t want to, there’s a GXP adaptor for it. Literally alloy tophat reducer for the NDS side to make it all sit nice in the 24mm axle space.

That adapter is for 24mm BBs only, his current one is a 30mm.
(You can see why there are so many of these threads, eh? BB standards are ridicuous)
For the OP - Hope & E13 cranks will fit your current BB. I'd thoroughly recommend the new Hope EVO cranks.
