Anyone got any recommendations for a courier company to take a bike from central scotland to Blackpool area? Paisleyfreight have been booked since last week, and their subby (APC Overnight) have failed to collect on 3 days now, so looking to cancel and book someone else. I can't seem to find any other couriers that will take a box that big though. Even Parcelforce aren't accepting bookings for their Large service...

Just used Paisley freight freight for the first time and apart from the APC driver being a bit surprised by the size of the box it seemed to work ok.

Collected on Tuesday and delivered on Sunday, not sure what it was doing between Wednesday morning and Saturday morning though.

I had always used Parcel Force before as I could drop off at the depot. I did try this time but wouldn't accept the booking as you found.

TNT and FedEx ship bikes but not sure if an individual can use that service. Have you tried something like Parcel Monkey that searches through providers, not sure if even that will let you select a big enough box.

Thanks Riddoch. Yeah tried ParcelMonkey and the equivalents.

Looks like I'll need to persevere with PaisleyFreight...

I have used UPS and was pain free except expensive if you factor in insurance.

Don't, they're a PITA and will lie repeatedly on the phone if anything goes wrong.
I received one by FedEx a fortnight ago, spot on (and yes, individuals can use it) I've sent with Parcel Force with no problems, and (frames not bikes) with Evri/Herges, even they were more reliable than Paisley!

Are Sherpr any good? . I’ve got a bike for sale and have looked at them to post it. Price seems reasonable.

Used Paisley Freight to ship a bike a few weeks ago.  £35, quick service, good communication - can’t fault them!

I've never had an issue with Paisley Freight either, multiple user over the past decade for bikes and car wheels.

If I'm only sending a frame or bike wheels, ususally Parcelforce instead as normal squeeze within normal size.
