Was going to just get a set of Easton's, are they still on the money or are there others to condiers.

Just general xc porpoises. Currently use EA70 monkeybars that are ok, would maybe prefer something that angles back a bit more.

You could rotate your existing ones a bit?

I'm using the Easton Monkeylite DH bars, 711mm wide and pretty light too. I like them. I'm a big chap and they're fine for me. They were on offer at CRC for £6

Had some Sunline V1 riser bars on my girlfriends 456 and snapped them when testing the forks on her bike. Light but failed, just thankful that it didn't happen when she was riding it out on the trail!

Rotating my current bars didn't help that much. I guess I need a higher amount of sweep.

I have the Easton cnt monkeybar xc thinies 685 very nice but not quite wide enough by todays standards but nice low rise. They scare me a bit when doing bigger drops.

Keep contemplating selling them and getting some 745 type widths.

I don't have a 5-6" travel bike so the SIXC is off the list

The new 2011 EC70 looks nice with the new Haven style graphics. They seem to have also dropped the Zyvex CNT logos so maybe they are using a new resin system on the 2011 stuff developed by the new head guy there. I noticed the Havens don't say anything about CNT either, nor the Haven wheels etc.

My choice would be Haven carbon at 711mm but no stock anywhere.

Another choice would be the Ragley carbon bars. Also under 200g and either Wiser (conventional) or Carnegie (think mary bar but not as much sweep).

Can't afford either at the moment myself though 🙁
