Hello there.

After Evans Cycles couldn't help me with finding a proper carbon fork for my 2017 Croix de fer (size XL) I would like to ask you guys for help.

I would like to lose some weight on my Croix de fer. So I'm working for once on my diet ( 😉 ) and also would like to lighten the bike as well. My plan is to replace my heavy wheelset and replace the heavy steel fork with a carbon one.

But I have 3 requirements that make my search quite tricky:

1. The carbon fork needs to have eyelets for mudguards (in combination with 32mm tyres)

2. 42mm tyres need to fit (those without mudguards)

3. The fork should not alter the geometry significantly as I really like it as it is right now the steel fork.

Can anybody speak out of experience and could recommend me a light and reasonable priced carbon fork?

Any help is highly appriciated

Best

Bike Discount seem to have a handy selection of forks, used them to source a straight steerer carbon fork with eyelets, big tyre clearance and canti-mounts.

This one here looks like it might fit your needs?

Does anybody know the OLN for the rear dropouts? Is it 130mm or 135mm?
