I am looking to buy a Canyon bike as I live just up the road from the factory and due to a quirk of employment am able to get the tax off so it is a bargain with a discount. I was looking at the Nerve 9SL but they are sold out. My choices are now the Nerve 9 or the Nerve CF 8. The CF 8 looks lovely but I am a little worried about a carbon frame. I would be interested to hear the pros and cons or peoples experience. Will it fall apart the first time I crash or am I being a luddite?
Cheers as always

Yes, can't imagine anyone using carbon for something like MTBing...

🙂
If I was in your position (lucky bugger) I wouldn't worry about carbon I hear it's up to the mark.
Have you ever crashed so badly you have dented/KO'd any kind of frame? If you come off on a regular basis don't go carbon if it worries you and do go on skills course with the saving?
