The type that you drop the front wheel in to and has a tall upright that supports the tyre and keeps the bike more stable if that makes sense!
The one I've got at the moment doesn't have this and the bike leans over too much .
Cheers
i've yet to find a decent one, do you have hollow axle cranks?
The crank stands are much better.
Yes I have, any chance of a link to those.
I have seen a wheel stand a while back that looks like it would keep a wagon wheel more stable though.
Cheers
I have had one of these for years:

www.willworx.com
good, solid, stand.
Speak to Alan @ http://www.riversidecyclecentre.co.uk/
nwmlarge did you leave the one review for that stand you linked to?
Absolute pile of Rubbish badly made. It bent the first time I used very poorly put together a waste of money
I have a couple of these for when I'm washing bikes. Better (I think) than the tall vertical ones as the hold the back wheel in tension, so work with both fat and thin tyres:

I got mine from Aldi for a tenner, but I suspect you can get from other places too.
That might be the one I was remembering qwerty, can you remember off hand £?
Found it on Ebay - £12 cheers.
Be careful with those if using a 203mm front disc, as it can hit the upright when putting the wheel in.
Ok cheers, 180 at the mo but thanks for the heads up.
