2 of us have been tasked with finding a bike for another mate by his Mrs. He's currently in isolation and having a hard time so when it's over she wants him to have some new wheels.
Budget is £900 a good healthy figure. Things we know for definite, it's got to have flat or Riser bars, ideally 1 X drive train as he's rather ham-fisted with his gear changing 🙄 More Hybrid than MTB, he thinks he wants suspension forks when we've talked before we are thinking a Carbon fork. He's a big lad so something substantial. I've looked at Giant Toughroad but the model I was thinking is over budget because it comes with racks. One of Specialized'at about £800 but the hubs are not cartridge bearings? Boardman's my mate reckons too racy. Even Carrera E Bike. He might want to ride gravel paths etc as well. So anybody on Lockdown and bored got any suggestions? 😎

Aye, go outdoors calibre stitch is phenomenal value for money at 400 quid, better than many more expensive bikes I've had.

Ridgeback Three6Five? 1x10, £700.

Or Orbea Carpe 10 or 20 looks decent.
