Looking around for a new frame. So far I've got:

Niner RLT
Sonder Camino Ti
Salsa Warbird or Vaya.

The Niner really appeals to me. I'm not really an On One fan, they just don't do it for me so I'm leaving those off the list. I'll be gearing it up with a Pro 4 wheelset and either a Ultegra disc groupset or the Sram CX1 groupset.

So what else is there? Thanks in advance for your suggestions 🙂

Charge Plug 5 frame on eBay for £130 but it's cruiser rather than a racing rig (in my view).

That Stoat looks lush.

Love steel bikes in white.

Looked at Genesis bikes?

CAADX e.g. Pauls bikes 2015 model discounted?

Kinesis Crosslight frameset can be had for half that budget. I'm still rattling round on an old pro 5 and it's brilliant.

I can vouch for the Niner RLT. First new frameset I've had for a while that I am really happy with - it just feels "right" on whatever terrain I take it for a ride.

Whats the biggest tyre the niner RLT will take?

I reckon a proper UK conditions gravel/adventure bike needs to be able to take at least a 45c tyre (either on a 650b or a 700c rim). You can then run them at 40PSI comfort without fear of pinch flats or road drag. Choose supple tyres and run them tubeless.

Save the 33/35c cx tyres for cutting through mud and cx racing.

EDIT found niner rlt max tyre 1.75" (around 45c).

Niner say the bike will take a tyre to 1.75 inches which is over 40c isn't it?

I had a look at he Genesis and the Croix de Fer is lovely but so skinny, almost too skinny. I've got an arkose which is lovely, but would like it to be a little bit bigger. The Niner is still winning in my books, just need to find a 62cm.

I am currently running with 40mm tyres on the RLT and there is clearance. They should take 45mm tyres.
