thinking of getting myself some bounce for my Swift in the New Year and have saved up a bit of cash to make the upgrade.

Was thinking of splashing out on the bargain Fox Talas on JeJames but wasn't sure if it might be a bit hefty and my wheels are standard QR (it looks like the Talas is bolt through only). Don't really want to change my wheels as I like them...and can't afford to!

Budget is quite flexible but the upper range is probably around £350/£400

And I'd like to buy new...

Thoughts?

I've got some Reba SL that have been great.

at 100mm travel they felt a bit long (axle to crown) on my 1st gen swift but some models you can make them 80mm.

Nothing fancy about them, just simple and work.

I've seen them around £400 at a few places. Maybe less if they are trying to clear them.

Maverick SC32's are excellent with them

There are some bargaintastic manitou tower's on CRC at the mo in QR flavour.

Yes, they are manitou but they do get good reviews on Bikeradar....

I noticed those. Anyone had any experience of them?
