Just bought a set of codes and thought I’d treat myself to a set of Hope Floating Rotors, now after what seems like a day of fettling I’ve given up trying to stop them rubbing. There’s just no way of getting enough clearance of the rivet on inside while not fouling the inside of the calliper and also leaving enough room for realigning them to stop rubbing.
So my actual question is what 203 rotors play nice with SRAM Codes? I know SRAM do make 203s but they seem like hens teeth. I need 203 over the standard 200mm rotors as the ebike I’m putting the brakes on have a weird proprietary rear break mount.
Surely you just need a one piece non riveted rotor. There’s masses of them on eBay...
I'm using Sram Centrelines and I think Shimano RT66 with mine.
Never really seen the point of floating rotors myself. Save the bling for something that doesn't wear out.
Couple of washers to move the caliper out a wee bit? Would that stop the fouling?
(Or is the Facebook suggestion of buying new Hopes a possible solution? If so, how much are your Codes?)
