I think 11spd road and mountain use different spacing, so the chains must be different right? I need a chain for 11spd road cassette, is Sram PC1170 ok?
I use Shimano 105 chains for road and MTB, I think the same item is now branded 105 and SLX.
Not aware of any difference in spacing.
The chain widths are the same. Cassettes aren't interchangeable between road and mtb, this results from the fact that road rear axle width is 130mm compared to 135mm for mtb.
It is said that 11 sp Shimano chains are not good on SRAM 11sp cassettes and vice-versa, due to detailed design stuff, I have no personal experience of this, and how after market chains such as KMC or Wipperman would work. (My only 11sp bike uses a Sunrace cassette and a KMC chain and works fine.)
KMC X11 SL or EL are my faves
Hmmm, My search has found the same, SLX / 105 is the same chain.
I've always preferred SRAM chains to Shimano, but might try Shimano to work with my new 105 stuff.
I've been using the FSA Team Issue ones from Planet X - really good quality and (were) very cheap at a tenner each a few weeks ago…..
(EdiT) still available:

Sounds like you need an 11 speed chain.
I hear kmc are quite good.
