Want to use a chain with a reusable link, what do you recommend? Have heard you can use 9 speed Sram links on a Sram 10 speed chain, is that right? Cheers
How on earth would that work?
+1
KMC here. No problems so far.

10 speed KMC with 9 speed Sram powerlinks here. Just pick the chain to suit your budget. Have used KMC light and superlight in silver and gold options in 9 and 10 speed. IMO a better chain than Sram, tried the hollow pin (think 990pg) and the rollers started breaking. No problems at all with KMC 😉 BTW the KMC version of powerlink is VERY tight, that's why I use Sram links
Just get a SRAM 10 speed chain. They come with a split link, and it is reusable, contrary to what SRAM say 😉
9 speed chains are cheaper and MUST work, and Shirley?
10 speed shimano chains with 10 speed kmc powerlinks on 3 bikes here.
Ok, thanks for the responses everyone!

By just working, ime. Though I've used 9-speed KMB rather than SRAM links, it's the same design.
KMC X10 for me.
Has anybody ever tried a 9 speed chain on 10 speed cogs? Been meaning to try it for a while but haven't got round to it yet.
