Best in what way? Of the ones I have ridden I think Glentress is best - such an amount and variety of trails - fun for everyone and great cafe.

Some centres don't have any facilities, however they have much better riding e.g. Penmachno and Golspie are 2 favourites.

T.J. - We're at Laggan Thurs. are you around? ( sorry for the high jack).

Llandegla is the best trail centre.

Glentress is the best centre I've done overall - be surprised if there was anywhere with greater variety and density of trails. Once you know your way around you can put all sorts of stuff together. Feels like you've been out all day, get back to your car and it's only 2 and a half hours.

Golspie for its technical climb, truely awesome descent and cracking views, Laggan for cakes 😉

Apart from that, there's not a great deal of trails up here, so I wouldn't bother with the drive up north 😉

I've rode all the Stanes and most of the trail centres in Scotland, Rode Afan a few times and also Coed y Brenin my top 3 would be

1.Kirroughtree
2.Laggan Wolftrax.
3.Glyncorrwg W2

Cannock chase because it's on my doorstep and doesn't involve a six hour round trip.

Love Afan to bits. Lots of good times had there.

Did penmachno yesterday and was really impressed , Im used to glentress which is my local and really like Laggan but was kinda blown away by Penmachno as Its seems so natural compared with some trail centres . It also has sometricky little climbs and stoney drops . I think Drumlanrig is next on the cards for me at about 60 miles from home its pretty local.

Laggan Wolftrax for me, only get up there once a year but love it! great trails and great cafe as well, a little basic but does the job, beans on chunky toast and a cuppa tea!

Cannock - new monkey trail is awesome and BV cafe isn't too bad, plus its local, only 40mins away in the car

Either Brechfa or The Tress, probably Glentress, great rides, good views, fun freeride park to mess on, loadsa variety plenty of people to natter with and amazing cake! Mmmmmmmmmh date and bannana! Doesnt necessarily mean the best trail at a trail centre though!

Thats the ridgeline trail in Wellington NZ! I don care that its not in UK

Laggan. I don't think that the riding is as good as Golspie (for instance) but for the whole pacakage. Great bike shop, great cafe, run by two properly nice people, showers, demo day is fantastic, scenery, I love the drive there and the uplift is fun too. It's a bit of a ritual for me when I go back home, head to Laggan and have a ride, normally on Christmas eve before heading out for some drinks.

Golspie, for me, is the best for the riding. It just doesn't have the same memories for me as Laggan.

Nicky B - you should see the North Face trail which is an alternative to Ridgeline - lush.

Well that really sells it. I prefer rides that fly by and turns out you've been out all day.

Anyway I prefer Afan it has a nice feel out on the trails. I'm not bothered about facilities much prefer better riding.

Penmachno closely followed by Kirry.

Although not done them all by a long way.

Brechfa or Cwm Rheadaer....because they're not trying to replicate 'natural' trails.

That said, Penmachno was great too.

I'm happy to ride my bike full stop but if you're going to make a purpose built trail i prefer mine to have big table tops and stupidly big berms 😆

Afan or glentress for me, penmachno more a trail than trail centre. Cyb is a good day out. Climax is good fun too.

Penmachno is the only one I've done so far that I keep heading back too, tried Llandegla again the other weekend and just found it full of people riding the red/black on 6" bikes in full armour... why?

Also enjoyed Gisburn over the winter, looking forward to heading back in the dry.

Tempted to be a smartarse and say the Lakes, but to answer the question properly - Kirroughtree.

I always enjoy CyB a lot more than I think I'm going to though, it's just got such a great sense of flow and momentum on some of the sections.

Penmachno, Brechfa, Llandegla, White's Level (Afan). All favourites of mine.

I saw the Croft Trail mention! I'm part of mbswindon (.co.uk) and we're still working on Croft Trail. It's never going to be a national trail centre, just a place that should be worth the visit if you're in the area.
Latest vide: More building and complete run through of section.
