I've always wanted to have a go, but is it cheaper to just get someone else to do it?
you should build your own, it will be cheaper to let one else do it, but thats not why you should do it. 😀
Using £160 of rims is probably not the best time to "have a go".Especially as stans are'nt the most straight forward to build (and 29ers/700c are a bit more more picky about spoke tension).Better still build other peoples, that way you get to learn AND you don't have to live with your mistakes.Or pay for them.Or have your wheels explode in a shower of spokes-just kidding. The spokes don't go everywhere.Bored.
