or is it just the wrong time of the year?

Hi-Mod Supersix or Synapse would be nice, none disc

or anything else of a similar guise, S-Works maybe?

It's early summer, peak bike buying time, probably 6months early/late for most discounts!

Evans seem to be knocking out a load of cheap 'Dale and Specialized at the moment.

Arse , this probably means I can't swap over my BB30 chainset . Or can I ?

You can get converters....it just may take a frickin long time! Bought a frame from Paul's back in January, had the BB30A - 24OD (Or whatever the shimano size is) converter on order for months...it turned up a couple of weeks ago! All the other bits have been sat waiting ....I can finally start building it!

I still reckon it's a little too soon. I'm looking for a frame myself and most of the current deals are an insult to bargain hunters...
... but that might make me a little cheap!

Give it a month and I reckon the annual "dump all our stock for the new stuff" behaviour shall ensue.

@Paul , I know that's possible .

What I asked was can you put a BB30 chainset into a BB30a frame ?

Anyone know ? I think BB30a has a longer axle . So I guess if I can change the axle on my current chainset it should be ok .

@pete. Sorry, I was just making a vague general statement in response to your comment, it didn't really address what you had asked, did it?

Without looking specifically, I'd agree with you, the 30A is a wider shell so the 30 will probably not fit and/or space correctly. I've not heard of any cranks that you can alter the axle length of - they're usually bonded in aren't they?

No you can buy axle kits , so some must have removable axles .

Off the LBS to find out .
