Warm day, great racing plenty of tunes and eating, lots of funny maths about number of laps and when to rush/slow etc. in the end a great social day out for all. Happy with 7 laps and 60km and about 170km for the team 🙂

Not a bad morning really.
Nowhere for the last two weeks 🙁
After about 8 months off the bike out of the last 12 with a frozen shoulder I rekindled my enthusiasm for riding in January, only to have my other shoulder spaz out half way through February..
I keep seeing a dude commuting over the toughest hill in the area while I'm doing the school run recently though, so I'm definitely gonna ride out and session it sometime this week..
I quite fancy having a crack at it on the SS too..

Bike Park Wales.
Absolutely fab day. Couple of lads who'd never been are now totally hooked.
Takes me a month to get over it but making plans for another 2 or 3 trips back this year.
Mega busy with the Enduro running, & pissed off that they shut Sixtapod from 1pm onwards. Was only supposed to be a red & black that were shut, but a cracking day none the less.
Grumpy chap had binned it on first run & did his shoulder in.
Tall chap was on an 03' Enduro that more than held its own against all the dayglo carbon.

Just come back from a week in Portugal, Lousa with Wheelers Mountain bike holidays.
Apart from us old blokes, the only other riders on the hill were Peaty and Rat boy for a day or so, The Athertons all week and the Saracen Dh team.....

I went for an "I need a fatbike" ride. You know the sort of thing; where you pick a route that you know your bike will struggle on, so that you can justify buying a new bike.
It turned out pretty much perfectly. Just the right amount and consistency of snow so that I could just make progress on my 2.8" tyres, but spent most of the ride wishing for a bit more float. OK, so that probably only happens a few days a year. Most the time the snow is either light enough that the 2.8s cope just fine or heavy enough that you wouldn't make progress on anything. Still, job done 🙂

We went for a walk on the Quantocks (Triscombe), you don't realise just how steep some of the trails you ride really are until you try walking them.
So far my 'riding' had involved dust. Lots of dust. And upvc. And insulation. And woodwork. And plasterboard.
Oh yes.
It is the DIY week...
Finished work Saturday then headed to Elterwater for a cheeky camp and a late evening ride, next day consisted of a loop around elterwater and Grizedale
