Got three or four of us planning to go to coed y brenin this September. We normally stop in the holiday village with all the log cabins but it appears to be booked up. So any suggestions on one I may have missed? Most seem fully booked at the moment

Not been for a while, but I’ve stayed here a few times and it was cracking. https://caegwynfarm.co.uk/

YHA at Dolgellau might be worth checking out. They're mostly private rooms with facilities rather than old-style dorms nowadays.
Edit. Hmm, the graphics in the Availability Calendar section for the 3 & 6 bed rooms suggests they're either fully booked for months, or not really open yet. It was just a thought.

I've been staying at Heulwen Guest House whenever possible for more years than I care to remember, lovely people, beautiful house & surroundings, excellent breakfasts, garage for bike storage, and reasonable prices too. Worth giving them a call or email direct on 01341 423085 or heulwen.co.uk

Plas Isa is an independent hostel in the middle of Dolgellau. Excellent.

We have just come back from Tanygrisiau. About 20 mins drive from CyB and five mins ride from Antur Stiniog. Perhaps worth a look?

Barmouth. It's not far away, and nice to go out in the evening - especially if you fancy a curry.
